The Public Broadcasting Services have withdrawn the application with the Malta Environment and Planning Authority to demolish Broadcasting House in Guardamangia, from where the PBS started operating.

The withdrawal was made on the order of Education Minister Dolores Cristina, who consulted the Prime Minister and directed the PBS chairman to withdraw the application.

Broadcasting House is considered as an example of quality modern architecture.
