The consultancy firm M & E Management Group has successfully negotiated the exclusive representational rights for the territories of Malta, North Africa and the Middle East for the Tribute to Monsters of Rock Festival with the Dutch firm TributeBands NL.

The original Monsters of Rock Festivals in the late eighties and throughout the nineties were milestones in the legacy of rock music worldwide, the company said. With the likes of international acts such as Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper and Anthrax, massive productions travelled from its conception in the United Kingdom all across the globe.

The idea of a “tribute version” of the Monsters of Rock Festival was born in 2000, two years after the original festival folded before its later resurrection in 2005. The concept of such a festival is to pay tribute to the original festival, in line-up as well as in setup.

M & E Management Group has entered into an agreement with promoters Lidea Events Ltd so as to stage Malta’s first Tribute to the Monsters of Rock Festival in July. Simultaneously, intensive meetings are being held in the United Arab Emirates by means of M & E Management Group’s Dubai office so as to stage the first festival in the Middle East in 2009.
