Valletta FC president Victor Sciriha on Sunday told club members that the club had concluded negotiations with three international players – defender Luke Dimech and midfielders Cleaven Frendo and Jamie Pace – to play for the champions next season.
Addressing the members during the annual general meeting, Sciriha said while Luke Dimech had been given a free transfer by English club Macclesfield, he had to negotiate for the transfer of Pace and Frendo from Marsaxlokk, but concluded that everything had now been settled.
Valletta, who have already started their pre-season training last week, are also awaiting the arrival of three Nigerians and possibly a Brazilian for a trial with the club. These are all expected in Malta some day this week and will be at the disposal of coach Paul Zammit soon.
