Four cars were damaged by fire on Monday night, after one of them burst into flames, which spread to the other three.

The incident was reported to the police at about 3.15am yesterday. On going onsite in Depiro Street, Sliema, the police found that a Seat Ibiza had for some reason caught fire and they called the Department of Civil Protection.

In the meantime, the blaze spread to three other nearby cars, an Opel Astra, a Peugeot 107 and a Volkswagen Lupo, which all ended damaged. Also damaged were the facades of two shops in the road.
