Dr Pullicino Orlando claims the article “Chez Jeffrey and graceless Labour” was defamatory and libellous.

The MP said that he respected the right of freedom of expression by journalists within the parameters of the law, but said that although facts showed otherwise, Mr Balzan decided to publish fallacies and defamatory comments about him.

The libel suit was filed by Dr Alex Perici Calascione.
