Steve Fenech & Mandy Ghio were recently invited to London to participate in the Mayor of London’s LONDON BIG DANCE held in Trafalgar Square. This event is held bi-annually and showcases dance talent from all over Britain and it was an honour for the couple to be included in the event. It was also an opportunity to promote Malta as the host for the Malta International Open Dance Spectacular 2008, which is being held at the end of November. This was the first time wheelchair dancing has been shown to such a big audience in England, as it is a new sport which is only in its early stages.

Despite the typical London weather the large crowds were captivated by the couples dancing and applauded enthusiastically. Steve & Mandy were interviewed by Erin Boag, one of the stars of Strictly Come Dancing the most popular television show on BBC at the present time. Erin was impressed by the high standard of Steve & Mandy’s dancing.

Whilst in England the couple danced at other Summer Festivals where they impressed both young and old alike.
