A Birkirkara man was in a critical condition yesterday after seemingly falling and hitting his head.

At about 2.45pm, the police were informed that a man was lying on the ground in St Helena’s Square in Birkirkara. The man, who is 45, was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where doctors diagnosed that the man was in danger of losing his life as a result of the trauma to his head. The police are investigating.
