Our excitement about our holiday in Spain for one week was stopped abruptly on our arrival in Valencia. From the very start of our holiday we were given the wrong information, wrong directions and absolutely no help from the locals and police!

To top it all, I was savagely mugged and robbed during our “holiday”, ending up in hospital, where not even the doctor could speak a word of English. I got poor attention and was not given medication to treat shock and had to demand they clean my open wounds.

Everything was so absurd that our continuous mishaps became a joke! Valencia has lovely tourist attractions to boast, it is a pity that the behaviour of the Spaniards now puts Spain last on our holiday destination list!

Think again before going to
