Labour MP Karl Chircop’s medical condition is “improving” as he is gradually coming out the deep comatose state he has been in since the beginning of August when he suffered an internal haemorrhage.
Dr Chircop’s wife, Adriana, told members of the press this weekend that although he is still on life support, he has started to open his eyes and reacted positively to the treatment he was given.
Dr Chircop, 43, was rushed to hospital on 3 August suffering a cerebral haemorrhage and immediately went into a deep coma. A couple of days later his condition was described as “very worrying”, but he registered very slight improvements towards the end of his first week in hospital.
