A South Korean English language student was yesterday charged with the attempted murder of a fellow national.

Park Chanwoo, 31, pleaded not guilty to attempting to kill Hyong Sun Eo, 25, on the night of 19 August in the flat they shared in Msida.

Magistrate Michael Mallia denied him bail and remanded him in custody. He was informed that Mr Hyong was still in hospital and in stable condition.

Police Inspector Anna Marie Micallef prosecuted while Dr Anthony Cutajar was legal aid to the accused.
