The Malta Labour Party said that government had not learned the lesson from its failed green warden initiative.
In a statement Stefan Buontempo, MLP spokesman for local government, said there was a risk that parliamentary secretary Chris Said’s experiment against illegal dumping would end up to be another failure.
The MLP believed that the government should involve local council joint committees responsible for cleanliness in the project, and consult with them before trying to implement any initiatives with regard to illegal dumping.
The committees should lead such projects, the MLP said.
