A Nigerian living in the Hal Far Open Centre was remanded in custody after he pleaded not guilty to defiling a 13-year-old British girl at the Palm Court Hotel, Qawra on 28 August afternoon.
Paul Adeolu, 36, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Lawrence Quintano also to offending public morals and holding the girl against her will. He was denied bail and remanded in custody.
Police Inspector Edmond Cuschieri prosecuted while lawyer Mark Busuttil was legal aid to the accused.
