Malta Independent Sunday, 5 October 2008, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

The University Students’ Council (KSU) has recently appointed Melita its official telecommunications and home entertainment partner. Through this agreement, Melita will invest in technical and financial support for the development of KSU’s activities over the next few years, while the Council and university students will benefit enormously from Melita’s powerful telecommunications and home entertainment platform.

Melita will also help KSU revamp and maintain the students’ common room. This scholastic year, the common room in Students’ House has been renamed ‘KSU Melita Common Room’ and Melita will invest substantial resources to upgrade the premises and modernise the facilities available.

Melita is offering university students a one-time opportunity to avail themselves of great student offers, valid only during Freshers’ Week on Campus and throughout the month of October. For just e13.85 per month, students can own a pre-paid personal phone line, an Internet connection and a free wireless modem worth e70. The offer is applicable for new connections only and is not available in outlets.

Melita’s student offer gives students a unique chance to acquire a communications solution based on the M Internet package and telephony flex package. M offers a 2Mbps speed, 25GB download limit, three e-mail accounts, free installation and free downloads between 11.01pm and 7am. Telephony flex is the cheapest pre-paid telephony solution available with no monthly bills, and gives students full control of their expenditure through pre-paid call cards.
