An Eritrean living in the Marsa Open Centre was remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to dealing in cannabis resin on Saturday night.

He was also charged with possessing the drug less than 100 metres away from a place where young people habitually meet.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli remanded Solomon Tesfei Tekle, 18, in custody.

Police Inspector Johann Fenech prosecuted while Dr Mark Busuttil was legal aid to the accused.
