I read the article Education is key to achieving Vision 2015 (TMID, 9 October). Is the PN government aware of the system by which our children are taught in our schools? Is the government aware how stressing this system is for our children, and that children aged nine cannot distinguish the Maltese alphabet from the English alphabet?
Is the government aware that children aged four and more (my daughter is nine) have extreme problems when spelling because they cannot distinguish between the “j” of jiena, the “y” of yellow, “k” of karozza and “c” of cat?
I think that we parents should wake up and form a force and fight for our defenceless children.
