The Malta Lace Day, organised by Bizzilla (Malta Lace Guild) and sponsored by the Malta Crafts Council is to take place at Casa Rocca Piccola, Republic Street, Valletta on Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

This year’s main attraction is the exhibition of the Malta National Lace Competition entries. This competition is organised by Casa Rocca Piccola and sponsored by HSBC. The announcement of prizewinners and the presentation of prizes are at 11.30a.m.

There will also be two stands – Bizzilla (Malta Lace Guild and OIDFA (International Organisation of Needle and Bobbin Lace); two suppliers – John Vella and Koperattiva Ghawdxija tal-Bizzilla u Artigjanat and a number of lace and weaving demonstrations. Every one is welcome. Entrance fee is e1.50 for members of the Malta Lace Guild (on presentation of current membership card), e2.50 to non-members and free for persons under 16 years of age. A souvenir gift is given to all those lace workers who bring their pillow and work lace during the day.
