A Sudanese man was hit with a pointed instrument in the vicinity of the open centre at Marsa following an argument with another man who is allegedly also a resident there.
The injured man sought help at the Hamrun police station, from where he was taken to hospital suffering from a wound to his neck. He told the police that while walking to the open centre, he had an argument with another foreigner and was hit by a pointed instrument.
Although the Sudanese man was reported to be suffering from grievous injuries, his condition is not serious.
The police are investigating.
