A Filigree Of Dance from Yada

Established in 1984, Yada (Young Actors and Dancers Association), exists as the most creative and dynamic dance company in Malta, and will be celebrating its 25th Silver Anniversary in grand style this month. 25, A Filigree of Dance is an eye-popping extravaganza of dance, music and lights, morphing together their most creative piece of their repertoire – from Moulin Rouge to Dirty Dancing, from Mamma Mia to Riverdance, Dreamgirls, Tango and much, much more. The versatile company has been known for its repertoire – ranging from glamorous cabaret shows to top major theatrical productions. Yada has also proved to be no newcomer to the international market. Over the years Yada has performed worldwide: in Germany, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, the UK, Dubai, Tunisia and Turkey. Director Felix Busuttil has choreographed various music videos, most of which were winners for the Malta Song for Europe and others that were produced by the Malta Film Commission.

Over the years, Yada has produced a number of memorable shows. With a cast of 350 dancers, established singers, gymnasts and guest artistes 25, A Filigree of Dance will fire up the senses at the Mediterranean Conference Centre on 6, 7, 8, 13 14 and 15 March. The 6 March is a Red Carpet National Event hosted by Canale 5’s top dance stars, Steve La Chance and Kledi Kadiu. The Dance event is under the distinguished patronage of Janatha Stubbs and her late beloved husband, Paddy who have both been creative pioneers of the dance company.
