Former Sliema ASC stalwart Charlie ‘Najsu’ Triganza passed away yesterday morning.

Charlie was part of the Sliema club since his boyhood and was brought up through the club’s Junior teams.

He played for Sliema A.S.C. in the 1954,1957, 1962 and 1968 championship teams.

Charlie also played for Sliema Wanderers in all the Junior teams.

He remained an avid supporter of the club and often visited the club pitch making a point to always join in the celebrations whenever Sliema won an honour.
