Lion Tea and Lion Camomile have won the Superior Taste Award 2009 during the annual prize-giving ceremony organised by the International Taste and Quality Institute (ITQI) in Brussels – an award which it also won in 2005 and in 2007.

The ceremony, held at the Cercle Royal Gaulois celebrated tasty food and drink from around the world in the presence of the international press as well as various government and industry officials. The jury of chefs and sommeliers, unanimously recognised for its unparalleled expertise, tasted nearly 800 products submitted by 290 companies from 75 countries.

“This award is a confirmation of the quality of the Lion Brand that is so popular among Maltese consumers,” said Chris Mamo, Marketing manager at Borg & Aquilina Ltd, exclusive importers and distributors of Lion Tea and Lion Camomile in Malta. “Borg & Aquilina boasts of a vast line of quality food and drink items that it puts on the market and the award reflects the commitment of our company to offer consumers products of very high standards.”
