With reference the letter from Mr Peter Robinson (TMIS, 5 July) as chairman of Malta GC Branch of the George Cross Island Association, I was happy to read that we veterans are not forgotten.

The whole point is that the GCIA council was not properly elected at the AGM in Ipswich last October in accordance with the aims of the association set out over 20 years ago and which have now been kicked out of the window by those with

personal ambitions.

I wish Peter, the Malta Branch and his team the best of luck and success in the future.
