Allow me to refer to Stephen Calleja’s article entitled First work experience a big shock for spoilt students (TMIS, 5 July).

I fully agree with what is stated in the article. My experience in the professional field has shown me that this is very true.

The article is also very interesting in that it also pinpoints a number of factors that have led to this situation.

It would be interesting to see if this aspect is given the attention it deserves in Malta, particularly since human resources is one the most important factors in its economy.
