A blood drive on 30 August at the Calypso Hotel in Marsalforn drew 55 donors to the improvised clinic set up for the purpose. It was organised with the coordination of the Malta Red Cross Gozo Branch, the community of Marsalforn with the help of the Marsalforn chaplain Fr. Michael Borg, and the Malta Blood Donation Unit of Mater Dei Hospital.

The majority of the donors donated blood for the first time.
