This month, when taking a sip from your pint of Guinness® raise a glass in honour of the life of a remarkable man, Arthur Guinness - founder of the globally renowned Guinness® brewery business, entrepreneur, visionary and philanthropist.

Arthur Guinness signed the 9,000 year lease at St James Gate Brewery in Dublin in 1759 and to mark this monumental milestone, global celebrations will be taking place on ‘Arthur’s Day’ on 24 September 2009.

Simultaneously, celebrations will also be taking place in various pubs and bars around the Maltese Islands offering specially branded Guinness memorabilia on 24, 25 and 26 September 2009.
