Talk On dyslexia

The Specific Learning Difficulties Service, (Department of Curriculum and eLearning - Ministry of Education), would like to invite interested professionals to a seminar on dyslexia on 16 September, 2009, between 9am and noon at the National Curriculum Centre, Hamrun.

Rosie Woods, former director of the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre (U.K) will give an overview of ‘The No to Failure Project and Sir Jim Rose’s recommendations’ (NTF project was a key contribution to Jim Rose’s report ‘Identifying and Teaching Children and Young People with Dyslexia and Literacy Difficulties’). She will discuss the interaction between literacy and oral language testing and how this can be used to create successful remediation.
