A man was yesterday accused of attempted theft.

Ryan Briffa, 19, of Qormi attempted to commit a theft from the residence of an elderly person in Zabbar on 29 June at around 6am. The theft did not occur due to unforeseen and accidental circumstances. Ryan Briffa was also accused of relapsing. The case will continue to be heard before magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona. Prosecution is being led by inspector Anthony Portelli while lawyers Jose Herrera and Veronique Dalli appeared for the accused.
