The European Parliament this week adopted six reports by MEP Simon Busuttil – the first reports by a Maltese MEP that the EP adopted in this term of office.
The reports are about agreements for short-stay visa waivers between the European Commission and six countries – the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Seychelles, Barbados, the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, the Bahamas and Antigua and Barbuda.
The agreements give Maltese and other EU citizens the right to travel without a visa to these six countries, and vice versa. The exemption does not cover travel for work purposes.
