A new bronze statue of St Gorg Preca will be blessed in a ceremony at San Gejtanu church in Hamrun tomorrow, starting with Mass at 6.30pm celebrated by Archbishop Pawl Cremona, OP.

St Gorg spent his childhood at the church and served there as a priest as well. The statue will be placed on the spot where the then Dun Gorg used to hear confessions. The bronze work, by sculptor Ganni Bonnici, was cast in Caggiati, in Parma, Italy.
