Mepa Schedules 51 archaeological sites and buildings

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority has added no fewer than 51 archaeological sites and buildings to the list of scheduled property.

The archaeological sites are:

Dolmen at Misrah Sinjura, Qrendi (Class A)

Hal Far menhir, Birzebbuga (Class B)

Dolmen near Wied Znuber, Birzebbuga (Class A)

San Cir chapel ruins, Zurrieq (Class B)

Dolmen and megalithic remains at Xghara tal-Bidni, Marsascala (Class B)

Circular field called ic-Cirku, Triq il-Bidni, Zabbar (Class B)

Hal Ginwi temple, Triq Xrob l-Ghagin, Zejtun (Class A)

Xrobb il-Ghagin temple, Marsaxlokk (Class B)

Wied Filep dolmens, Triq ta’ fuq Wied Filep, Mosta (Class B)

Bugibba temple, Dolmen Resort Hotel, Bugibba (Class B)

Megalithic remains in field Tat-Tumbata, Triq San Tumas, Luqa (Class B)

Ta’ Gawhar Tower and Roman cistern, Triq ta’ Gawhar, Safi (Class A)

It-Torrijiet (formerly known as ruins at Hlantun, Santa Marija ta’ Bir Miftuh, Zurrieq (Class A)
