Saturday, 17 April,

5pm Welcome ceremony at the Malta International Airport, Luqa.

5.45pm The Pope leaves the Airport to go to Valletta. The Pope will be greeting the general public gathered in the streets on the way to Valletta.

6.15pm Courtesy visit to the President of the Republic and the highest Civil Authorities at the Palace in Valletta. The children gathered in Saint George’s Square will be greeting the Pope.

7.15pm The Pope leaves the President’s Palace and goes to Rabat. The Pope will be greeting the general public gathered in the streets on the way to Rabat.

7.45pm Visit to Saint Paul’s Grotto in Rabat. The Pope greets the general public gathered in front of Saint Paul’s Church.

Sunday, 18 April

9.15 am The Pope departs from the Apostolic Nunciature to Floriana.

10am Pontifical Mass on the Granaries in Floriana. The Pope addresses the Maltese and Gozitans, and recites the Regina Coeli at the end of the celebration.

4pm The Pope departs from the Apostolic Nunciature to Kalkara. The Pope will be greeting the general public gathered in the streets on the way to Kalkara.

4.45pm Grand Harbour boat trip from Kalkara ferry to the Valletta Waterfront quay.

5.15pm Meeting with the youth at the Valletta Waterfront. The Pope addresses the youth gathered at the Waterfront.

6.15pm The Pope departs from the Valletta Waterfront to the Airport. The Pope will be greeting the general public gathered in the streets on the way to the Airport.

6.40pm Farewell celebration at the Malta International Airport.

7.10pm The Pope leaves Malta for Rome.
