The General Workers Unions took a positive note of the reform announced on local enforcement. “This in view of the fact that the reform will include several of the proposals submitted by the union, especially in matters concerning the conditions of work of local wardens and the improvement of the system in general,” the union said.

The GWU said that through its Professionals, Finance and Services Section it contributed constructively by submitting recommendations as to how the system for local enforcement can be improved for the benefit of society and the workers involved in the system.

It hoped that the reform would be put in place without delay and that the reform would continue to be fine tuned as necessary.
