Minor Jailed over police assault

A 16-year-old has been given a six-month jail term, having admitted to assaulting two police officers at the Law Courts on 14 February. He pleaded guilty to assaulting police sergeant Kenneth Brignano and police constable Sandro Mamo, and breaching a probation order. He was also given a €466 fine and the court included a personal guarantee of €1,500 in his sentence. The court was presided over by magistrate Saviour Demicoli. Police inspector James Grech prosecuted.
