The Lija Athletic Football Club, in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretary for Consumers, Fair Competition, Local Councils and Public Dialogue, the Parliamentary Secretary for Youth and Sport, the Kunsill Malti ghall-iSports and the Lija Local Council will be organising a sports festival in the Lija square next Sunday.

This festival will include sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, handball, ABCS, water games, rugby and tennis and will aim to promote physical activity and increased practice of sports among people of all ages.

The festival will start off at 9am with a 2K fun run for children between the ages of six and 12 and a 5K fun run for children over 13 and adults. Participants in both events are allowed to complete the course by walk. All participants will be given a certificate of participation following the event.
