Two New Gran Soleil flavours in Malta

Malta Independent Monday, 19 July 2010, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Gran Soleil are launching two new ready-to-freeze dessert flavours to usher in the mood for summer – Pineapple and Cioccolato Extra. These two flavours add a delightful new dimension to the existing range of Gran Soleil. Both flavours introduce a thrilling taste instantly converting consumers into loyal fans. Both flavours are premium products with a rich texture, the taste of which lingers in the mouth long after. The two new flavours are designed to appeal to fruit lovers and to those who enjoy the already scrumptious cocoa flavour of Gran Soleil.

“We are delighted to bring to Malta these two new flavours to tempt the taste buds of avid Ferrero fans. Gran Soleil’s light and delightful tastes also have digestive qualities which satisfy a clear consumer need for finishing off a meal with something light, digestive and refreshing” said Clyde Attard, Ferrero divisional manager for P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd.

Gran Soleil’s range of flavours also includes sicilian lemons, mandarin, passion fruit and cappuccino coffee. The popular product is a ready-to-freeze dessert with the combination of the light freshness of a sorbet and the creaminess of ice-cream. It comes with two partitioned units and can be stored at normal room temperature. Eight hours before consumed, the product should be shaken well and placed in the freezer.

Gran Soleil is not an ice-cream because it is not aerated, and it is not a sorbet but actually something in between. The product is made with genuine ingredients, without colours or preservatives in both liquid format in an air practical air-tight sealed container to maintain the properties and fragrances of its ingredients.

“In the last three years, the response of the Maltese consumer has exceeded our expectations. We are expecting these two new flavours to once again be a hit during summer lunches and dinners,” said Clyde Attard.

Gran Soleil is available in supermarkets, confectioneries and other food retail outlets. It is also available at P. Cutajar’s flagship shop ‘The Store’ in Mriehel.
