MaltaPost would like to advise the general public that entries for the 16th International Postage Stamp Design Contest are being received. The International Postage Stamp Design Contest is organised by Korea Post and has been held since 1996 to increase public interest in postage stamps both at home and abroad and find more creative ideas for stamp design. Every year thousands of entries from around the world are submitted and four great designs are issued as postage stamps of the Republic of Korea.

For this year’s contest entries will be accepted until 17 September with the grand prize being awarded in two themes of Family (youth category) and Preserve the Polar Regions and Glaciers (general category).  Two grand prize winning designs and two Award of Excellence designs are planned to be issued as postage stamps in 2011.
