Persons with a disability attending the Aġenzija Sapport day services will benefit from the installation of 240 Limited’s artificial turf at the Mtarfa day centre.

240 Limited’s trading partners, Lano Sports, has donated artificial turf to Aġenzija Sapport’s day services, and 240 Limited has fully sponsored its installation. Agenzija Sapport will benefit from the enhancement of the yard and at the same time benefit from the less abrasive flooring system of artificial turf.

The area covered with the donated artificial turf will be used for sport and leisure activities not only by the persons with a disability attending the Mtarfa centre, but also by clients attending the other centres at Sta Venera, Ħal Far, Fleur de Lys, Marsascala, Swatar, Cottonera, and Paola. Currently, there are over 400 persons with a disability benefiting from Aġenzija Sapport’s day services. Out of these, 92 attend the Mtarfa day centre.

The aim of the day programmes is both to assist persons with a disability to develop their potential as well as to give support to their family, enabling persons with a disability to continue living within the community. Community care/living helps in the integration process of persons with a disability within society, thus also giving them more independence.
