The brand new single by DJ and producer Toby called 'Tomorrow' ,featuring Errol from Airport Impressions will be launched this Saturday at an event at Rich Club in Paceville. Toby will be performing live on 2 CDJs, a laptop, synths and effects, together with a live PA and guitars by Errol.

These are good times for Toby, with his recent single 'Blame' being nominated for the Best Dance Song at this year’s Bay Music Awards (see below for more information on the BMAs) and his radio show ‘Wall of Sound’ every Wednesday night on 89.7 Bay going from strength to strength.

Blame was written, composed and produced by Toby at Tobymusic Studios. The topline vocal was written by Scott Walker from SWP Records of the UK and vocals performed by Taya Cade, recorded in London and released last June. It is available on iTunes and Beatport. The tune will be performed at the Awards night (www.tobymusic.net).

The Nominees for the seventh Bay Music Awards

The Nominees for this year’s Bay Music Awards were also announced last week. The winners will be named at the awards night at the Bay Arena, St Julian’s, on 12 December. 89.7 Bay listeners may vote by SMS. Voting details are available at www.bay.com.mt.

Bletchley Park, Dolls for Idols, Saving Alexis, and Ellie and the Oscars were nominated for the Best Newcomer award (SMS 5061 5301). The nominees for Best Dance Tune/Remix were Kristina Casolani (DJ Ruby Remix) with Get Out; Toby and Scott Walker featuring Taya Cade with Blame; U-Bahn (Jo Micali Remix) with Beautiful Eyes and Joseph Armani ft Eugene Noiz with ‘Under the Water 2010.

Airport Impressions, Red Electrick, Scar and Winter Moods were nominated for the Best Band award. Muxu, Kristina Casolani, Brooke, and Lyndsay were nominated for Best Solo Artist. Untenable by Scar; Pretty Rival by Ellie and the Oscars; Walk with me by Airport Impressions and My Neverland by Winter Moods were up for Best Song.

Proceeds from the sale of the annual CD featuring the entire line-up of the 2010 Bay Music Awards night will go to the Bay Kids Foundation, which this year has selected respite centre Dar il-Kaptan as the beneficiary. Last year’s CD sales contributed to the purchase of a van for Dar Sagra Familja.

The GO Malta Music Awards 2010 nominees

The final four nominees for the different categories of the GO Malta Music Awards were announced last week. The winners will be announced during awards night to be held at the MFCC on Saturday 27 November, where Antony Costa from Blue and Lenny Zakatek will perform. (More details on: www.mmm.com.mt).
