Gharghur came from behind to defeat Siggiewi 3-2 after extra-time in the title decider and clinch the Bank of Valletta Third Division championship on Sunday.

Siggiewi had won Section A and Gharghur were Section B winners.

Siggiewi led 2-0 thanks to goals by Jason Camilleri on 63 minutes and Ahmed Mohamed Harun on the 80th. However, Gharghur fought back to score two goals through Malcolm Tirchett in added injury time to force an extra 30 minutes during the first half of which Tirchett scored again. It proved to be the winner.

After the game, Bank of Valletta Manager Marketing Charles Azzopardi presented the trophy to the Gharghur captain.
