Maltese international Andre Schembri, signed a two-year deal with Olympiakos Volos FC in the Greek Super Liga. Andre Schembri was in Greece yesterday to discuss his contract with the new club and after a positive medical test the player agreed terms.

The player will be making his debut with Olympiakos Volos next week in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. Spanish coach, Javi Gracia, showed his interest in Schembri during these past few months after an impressive season with Ferencvaros in Hungary last year. Andre Schembri scored 16 goals with the Hungarian club and helped them secure a place in the UEFA Europa League.

Schembri will be back in Malta tomorrow and leaving immediately on Sunday to start training with the team on Monday morning.

Andre Schembri will be playing in the same league as his former Ferenvaros team mate Justin Haber, who himself signed a new deal with Corfu based club Kerkyra FC this week.
