For its annual summer soirée this year, Buttardi New York joined forces with 3City Designs to showcase the company’s latest pieces of jewellery. These pieces are handmade in Malta and Gozo and were beautifully displayed among items on sale at 3City Designs whose proprietor is Josette Schembri Vella. A natural yellow coral  multi-strand necklace, sat side by side with a  pale strawberry quartz and pink fresh water pearl  necklace.

Managing directors of Buttardi Michelle Muscat and Michelle Buttigieg, the latter here from her home in New York for her usual two-month break to visit her family, as on previous soirées managed to transform the 3City Designs studio into a natural paradise for their handmade creations.

This summer’s designs featured beautiful oyster shell pearl necklaces, purple aurora borealis bohemian beads, sculpted carnelian stones, leaf cut quartz  in various colours, a Chinese porcelain shard necklace, green jade sculpted flower necklaces and an outstanding three strand Swarovski pearl necklace.  There was an interesting selection of earrings and bracelets too. A small collection was designed especially for those young ladies who are starting to collect semi-precious jewellery. One could admire bohemian crystals and hand painted vintage pendants as well as sugar pink pearls hanging from elegant glass candy jars. Guests were trying on necklaces and in the meantime Mark of D Xquisite food creators was serving chilled Prosecco and delicious canapés.
