The 12th edition of the Malta Euromed Championship gets under way today.

The first race is scheduled to start at 11am, with briefing to be

held at 9.30am at the Point Break beach club, the event’s headquarters.

The Point Break beach club is situated on the Mellieha beach and it is the last beach club prior to turning right to the road leading to Mellieha Bay Hotel, the championship’s official hotel.

Latest news is that the number of foreign countries represented in this

year’s Euromed went up to 10. Further to Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Italy, Israel, Monaco, Sicily, San Marino and Russia now there will also be Romania that for the first time will have two sailors.

The Malta Euromed championship is organised by the Malta Young Sailors Club with the cooperation of the Kunsill Malti għall-iSport and the Mellieħa Local Council and held under the patronage of the Malta Sailing Federation.
