Island Hotels Group ‘Switches Off’ In support of Earth Hour

Last Saturday Island Hotels Group, joined millions around the world in support of the largest environmental event in history – Earth Hour.

Radisson Blu Resort, St Julian’s, Radisson Blu Resort and Spa, Golden Sands and The Coastline Hotel switched off all unnecessary lights and functioned by candlelight for one hour in an effort to support this global event. They encouraged in-house guests and followers on their various Facebook pages to get involved and do the same.

As its name suggests, Earth Hour, is an hour dedicated to mother earth, an event organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to show people that everyone has the power to change the world we live in if we work together.

Rachelle Tabone, Island Hotels Group Marketing manager explained that the Group is committed to responsible business and organises diverse initiatives throughout the year to support the environment in every way possible.
