Birzebbuga Sailing Club will be organising the Crosscraft Spring Regatta dinghy races in Birzebbuga Bay this weekend.  

This regatta is the third in a series of eight annual events according to which local Optimist and Laser sailors are ranked on a rolling system.

Thomas Bonello Ghio leads the ranking in the optimist open class by a very slender three point margin.

Zak Azzoppardi will be intent on doing something about that this weekend Optimists Lasers and RS Fevas are expected to participate.

Five boats will constitute a class. Boats not forming a class will race on handicap.

Registration at the club house in Wied il-Buni is open to all boats with a recognised Portsmouth number. Races will start at 12 noon on Saturday and 11 am on Sunday.
