An 85-year-old woman was injured in her home when two hooded persons broke in and demanded money, the police said.

The robbery occurred at about 10am in Triq Katerina Vitale, Sta Luċija.

The police said the thieves got away with a considerable amount of cash and some jewels. The woman suffered “some injuries”, but the police did not give details how this happened.

Duty magistrate Dr A. Mizzi is conducting an inquiry.
