Mosta beat league champions Birkirkara on penalties to win their first KO trophy yesterday.

The match was taken to extra time after a 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes. In extra time, both sides produced some good opportunities but failed to score a winner.

In the penalty shootout Birkirkara missed twice giving jubilant Mosta girls a hard-fought victory.
