The Malta Volleyball Association will be hosting the organisation of the Qualification Round of the 2013 CEV Women’s Senior European Championships, Small Countries Division.

Following the organisation of the Junior Girls’ Championships in January, and Pool A of Men’s Qualification Championships played in May, the tournament, which will be played this weekend, will be the third to be hosted by the MVA this year.

The tournament will be contested by Malta, Liechenstein, Scotland, Ireland and Cyprus.with the latter considered favourites to win the tournament.

The first two placed teams from this category will be meeting the first two placed teams from Pool B which is composed of only four teams: Faroe Islands, Iceland, San Marino and Luxembourg. Pool B will be placed in Luxembourg.

The qualifying round will be held at the Cottonera Sports Complex and the public is encouraged to attend. Admission is free.
