The locality of Ta’ Xbiex will be represented in the MFA National League after their application to form part of the Third Division league was accepted by the association’s

Executive Committee and endorsed by its Council last week.

The club is in the process of a selection process and they have issued a call for interested footballers, especially youths, to apply to join this new club. They can apply on facebook – Ta’ Xbiex Sports Club – and emails [email protected] or [email protected] to represent the club.

The name of the new club is Ta’ Xbiex Sports Club, which is unrelated to any other club which had represented the locality in previous years. It has a new committee, a new logo and a new club statute, with all the clauses in accordance with those required by the MFA.

Besides forming part of the BOV Third Division league, there is also a Futsal team as distinct from the national league team.

Experienced coaches under the guidance of Jean Pierre Portanier Mifsud (B Licence), will form the basis of the technical personnel.
