The Heineken league kicked off yesterday in the new structured stadium at the Pembroke Sports Complex. This Stadium will be a permanent one, as the Malta Beach Soccer committee, with the

help of the Malta Football Association, Pembroke Athleta and the Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport, will work for a better standard stadium.

Fifteen teams will participate in this year’s event, 11 men and four ladies teams will play for the national title. This means that more than 200 players will play in an amazing atmosphere.

From all the players participating, a selection will be chosen for the formation of a national team to compete in any international or European competitions.
