The Tennis Club Kordin, in collaboration with The Malta Tennis Federation, is hosting this year’s U-14 tennis European tournament.

For yet another year, this tournament has attracted a significant number of players from various countries. The number of participants this year sums up to 130 players; 88 of which are boys and 42 are girls.

For yet another year, the European tournament is expected to be of an exceptionally high level having the best ranked players reaching 27 in Europe in the boys’ category with Daniel Bennett from Great Britten and the 161th ranked girl Krista Cerpina from Latvia.

Malta will be represented by Benjamin Farrugia and Zack Ciappara in the boys’ category, while, the girls team will consist of Rebecca McCarthy ranked 463, Karina Sammut ranked 559, Alexia Cassar, and Emily Lightfoot.

The tournament will commence with the qualifying rounds to be played on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July. Signing in for this draw will take place on Friday 27 July.

Signing in for the main draw is to be held on Sunday 29 July with the Main draw matches starting Monday 30 July and ending with the final on Saturday 4 August.

On Monday 30 July players are to sign in for the doubles draw, with the doubles matches starting on Tuesday 31 July with the final on Friday 3 August.
