Kim Restall wins Drama Prize

Kim Restall has won the BOV Prize in Drama 2012, a prize awarded to Masquerade students who achieve the highest grades in the Trinity Guildhall solo examination in Drama. This accreditation is about maintaining high standards in performance studies and recognising students’ efforts.  Bank of Valletta has a strong commitment to support students as they reach every milestone.

 “The BOV Prize in Drama is a collaboration between Bank of Valletta and Masquerade Theatre Arts School,” said Anthony Bezzina, Artistic Director of Masquerade Theatre Company, while congratulating Ms Restall for obtaining the highest distinction marks from all over Malta in her grade 5 exams in Acting Studies.  “Bank of Valletta is a strong supporter of local artistic initiatives and this prize was designed to encourage excellence in the artistic studies of drama students.”

“While congratulating all those who sat for the Trinity Guildhall examinations, the BOV Prize in Drama is awarded only to the top achiever,” said Mr Bezzina. “This prize serves to motivate all the participants to aim higher and to raise the level of drama within Malta’s artistic scene.”

“This initiative of rewarding and promoting excellence amongst drama students underlines the importance given to the promotion of the arts and education within the BOV Community Programme,” said the Bank’s Head of Media & Community Relations Vanessa Macdonald during the presentation of the prize. Whilst congratulating the students on the outstanding result they achieved, Ms. Macdonald added that the BOV Prize in Drama seeks to encourage young people to develop their artistic talents thus contributing towards the promotion of drama within Malta and Gozo’s artistic scene.
